Press Release – Asunción, Paraguay, April 7, 2025, – The first edition of the #AFSeffect Fair will take place next Saturday, April 12, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This completely free event is organised by AFS Paraguay with the support of the Centro Cultural de la Ciudad Carlos Colombino – Manzana de la Rivera. It will be held at the Auditorio Ruy Díaz de Guzmán, located at Manzana de la Rivera (Ayolas 129 c/ Benjamín Constant), and is open to the general public, especially young people aged 14 to 18 interested in experiencing intercultural learning.
This cultural event marks the launch of the AFS Exchange Programs for 2026, where attendees can learn more about intercultural learning opportunities and have their questions answered.
Agenda For The #AFSeffect Fair:
3:00 PM to 4:00 PM: Paraguayan History And Culture
Free access to the Biblioteca Municipal Roa Bastos, the Museo Memorial de la Ciudad, and Casa Clari Café & Bar.
4:00 PM to 5:00 PM: Country Fair
Interactive booths with fun cultural activities, where foreign participants and Paraguayans from the AFS programs will share their testimonies, experiences, and even food.
5:00 PM to 6:00 PM: Discussion On AFS Paraguay Programs
In-person talk in the Auditorio Ruy Díaz de Guzmán, where information on the 2026 Exchange Programs will be provided, explaining how young people and families can become part of this wonderful and unforgettable experience.
Special Invitation From AFS
This cultural gathering is a free invitation open to the entire AFS Paraguay family: former participants, host families, volunteers, and especially young people aged 14 to 18 who dream of travelling abroad and living an intercultural experience. Additionally, all Paraguayan families are invited to learn how they can open their homes to a foreign participant and join the global AFS network.
The #AFSeffect Fair will have free participation, but prior registration is required on the website to obtain a QR code that must be presented for access. Some of the available destinations in the AFS exchange programs include the United States, the United Kingdom, France, South Africa, Japan, Denmark, and many more!
