Argentine singer-songwriter Luli Maidana will bring her latest album, Mi jardín azul (My blue garden), to Asunción. On Friday 4 September 2026, Luli will perform a free concert at the Auditorio Tom Jobim, located within the Brazilian Embassy. Beginning at 20:00, the performance marks one of the first international dates of her new tour. She offers audiences an immersive live production featuring a full band, special guests, and a carefully crafted visual experience. Entry is free, although seating is limited and reservations are required through a form.
A rising voice in Latin America
Born in Resistencia, in Argentina’s Chaco province, Luli Maidana has established herself as one of the leading contemporary female voices in Latin America. Since launching her independent artistic project in 2017, she has developed a distinctive style that blends Latin American folk traditions with modern songwriting. She creates performances in which music, storytelling, and visual art complement one another.
Luli Maidana has become known for building conceptual worlds around her work. Placing the music at the centre while using stage design, audiovisual elements, and narrative to deepen the audience’s experience. Her debut album, En un primer lugar, released in 2024, showcased entirely original compositions inspired by Latin American folk music. The record received critical recognition in Argentina, while the music video for Guárdame, directed by Maidana herself, won Best Music Video at the Guácaras International Film Festival.
An international journey
Released on 31 July 2026, Mi jardín azul is Maidana’s second studio album. Recorded in Brazil with musicians from Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay, the album combines contemporary folk, jazz and Latin American songwriting in a warm and intimate musical landscape.
The project was produced by Sandro Moreno, Luli Maidana, Lean Zarza and Ivo Cassiet, with engineering by Anderson Rocha. The album also features several guest musicians. These include acclaimed Argentine singer-songwriter Coqui Ortiz, Paraguayan harpist Carmen Monges, singer-songwriter Flor Sandoval and violinist Matías Romero.
A familiar artist for Paraguayan audiences
Although based in Argentina, Maidana has built a growing connection with Paraguay through concerts, festivals and artistic collaborations. She has performed at Festi Feró, toured alongside the Cancioneras Paraguayas collective in both Asunción and Buenos Aires. Additionally, she collaborated with Paraguayan band A días de Júpiter, joining them on stage during Asunciónico 2026.
Her career has also included appearances at major cultural events across Argentina. Such as the International Sculpture Biennial, the Ibero-American Book Fair, the National Cotton Festival and Festival Chaco Suena Bien. Along the way, she has shared stages with renowned artists such as El David Aguilar, Hilda Lizarazu, Santi Celli, Dos Más Uno and Piti Fernández.
Following performances across Argentina and a visit to Uruguay’s trinational Atyporá gathering in Cabo Polonio, the Asunción concert represents one of the opening stops of the Mi jardín azul international tour. The concert promises an evening that celebrates artistic collaboration across borders while introducing Paraguayan audiences to the latest chapter in one of Argentina’s emerging musical voices.
