Agustín Sacanell, the producer behind several of Latin America’s most successful audiovisual projects, will be a featured speaker at the tenth edition of La TV que se viene (The Coming TV), a major industry conference in Asunción on 5 November, 2026. Sacanell is the CEO of the Argentine production company Kapow.
His recent work includes Envidiosa, (Envious) a recent phenomenon on Netflix, along with international titles such as The President, The Pack, Alternative Therapy, and December 2001.
The announcement was made by television specialist and event promoter Agustín Genovese. He shared the details during an interview state television. The La TV que se viene event is scheduled for 5 November 2026 at the Hotel Esplendor Asunción.
A pivotal moment for Paraguayan television
Genovese highlighted that the Paraguayan audiovisual industry is currently experiencing one of its most interesting periods. He noted that the country has made significant strides in strengthening the sector. This is especially true following the creation of the Paraguayan National Audiovisual Institute (INAP).
According to Genovese, INAP has become a crucial tool for promoting content development and the professionalisation of the industry. Furthermore, it helps project national productions onto the international stage. He explained that this year’s conference aims not only to analyse the present state of television but also to discuss the future. Key topics will include the evolution of audiences, streaming services, digital platforms, and production models in the coming years.
Global experts to share insights
A central theme of the conference will be the internationalisation of Paraguayan content. In this context, Sacanell’s presence is particularly significant. His experience in developing productions capable of competing on global platforms and reaching millions of viewers across different markets will be invaluable.
The event will also feature Adriana Pascale, Senior Partner Insights Manager for LATAM at Parrot Analytics. Parrot Analytics is a leading global firm in measuring audience demand and behaviour. Her presentation will address a major question facing the industry: how to capture the attention of users who divide their time between broadcast television, streaming, social media, and other digital platforms.
Focus on future technologies and opportunities
Another international guest will be Javier Ruano, a representative of the ATSC Board and the technology company Televes. Ruano will discuss the possibilities opened up by TV 3.0, which is considered the next generation of open-air broadcast television.
The agenda also includes a dedicated segment called “Paraguay to the world,” developed with the support of INAP. This session will bring together producers, specialists, and international figures to debate opportunities for co-production, sales, and the internationalisation of Paraguayan content.
A key industry networking event
In addition to the conferences and panels, the congress will provide networking spaces for television channels, platforms, advertising agencies, and producers. It will also facilitate exchanges between advertisers and technology companies. This will strengthen its position as the Paraguayan audiovisual industry’s primary meeting point.
With a decade of history, La TV que se viene has become a regional benchmark for anticipating trends and understanding the direction of the audiovisual ecosystem. The producer of Envidiosa and other international specialists will offer unique perspectives on the industry’s present and future. Their participation will explore an industry undergoing rapid change. This year’s theme explores what television will look like in 2027. It considers a world where screens no longer have borders.
