Artists and artisans in Paraguay have a new opportunity to bring their craft to an international stage through the LOEWE Foundation Craft Prize 2027. Additionally, the international competition invites creators aged 18 and above to submit works that reinterpret existing techniques and knowledge through contemporary perspectives. The LOEWE Foundation is a private cultural foundation established in 1988 by Enrique Loewe Lynch, a fourth-generation member of the Spanish luxury house’s founding family. It was created to promote creativity and safeguard heritage in poetry, dance, photography, art, and craft.

The selected winner will receive a €50,000 (approximately US$57,000) cash prize, while two additional creators will receive special mentions. Furthermore, the winning work, the two special mentions and the finalist pieces will feature in an exhibition and accompanying catalogue. The organisers plan to present both in Europe during spring 2027. The exhibition will bring together selected works from different artistic backgrounds and showcase contemporary approaches to craftsmanship.
