Organiser CONMEBOL has unveiled the pre-match show for the Copa Sudamericana final between Argentine Lanús versus Atlético Mineiro from Brazil. The opening spectacle will feature Brazilian performer Dudu Galo Doido and Argentine tropical music favourites Los del Fuego. South American club football’s second-most prestigious trophy is to be decided on Saturday 22 November, 2025, at Estadio Defensores del Chaco in Asunción.
Brazilian pop, and Argentina’s tropical music
Dudu, widely regarded as one of the most iconic representatives of Brazilian pop culture, will channel the passion and rhythm synonymous with Atlético Mineiro’s fervent Mineiro supporters. Joining him on stage, Los del Fuego – representing Argentina’s tropical music scene – promise to set the stadium alight with their high-energy sound, particularly firing up Lanús’s passionate fanbase.
Atlético Mineiro booked their place in the Copa Sudamericana final as they chase a maiden Sudamericana crown, while Argentina’s Lanús return to the decider aiming to lift the trophy for the second time in the club’s history.
On Friday 21 November, starting at 15:00, a Fan Zone will be set up at the intersection of José Asunción Flores and Río Ipané, with music and food for fans. Approximately 6,000 police officers will be directly involved in the security operation for the match. Starting Friday at midnight, security will be established around the Defensores del Chaco Stadium, creating a 300-meter perimeter. The gates will open to the public at 13:00 on Saturday.
Joint immigration, customs, and security control
Authorities from Paraguay and Argentina recently participated in a binational coordination meeting at the Puerto Falcón–Clorinda border crossing. The purpose was to plan the joint immigration, customs, and security control operation for the entry and exit of fans. The plan includes different control methods depending on the type of transport, organised buses, regular services and private vehicles, in order to optimise service times, and reinforce security measures.
In addition to the main Puerto Falcón–Clorinda crossing, the operational coordination will cover other strategic entry points that could be used by fans of both clubs, including Itá Enramada, Nanawa, Paso Yacyretá, Puente and Tren de Encarnación on the border with Argentina, and the crossings of Puente de la Amistad, Salto del Guairá and Pedro Juan Caballero on the border with Brazil.
