The President of Paraguay, Santiago Peña, has received the credentials of two new ambassadors to Paraguay, from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and the United Arab Emirates.
Accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rubén Ramírez Lezcano, the President received the credentials from the Ambassadors of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the United Arab Emirates during a ceremony held at the Government Palace in Asunción.
The newly accredited Ambassadors are Danielle Dunne from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and Al-Saghira Wabran Hamad Mubarak Al-Ahbabi from the United Arab Emirates.
About the Ambassadors
Danielle Dunne previously led the Counterterrorism Network for West Africa and the Sahel and the Evaluation Unit. She was also a Senior Evaluation Advisor, Methods Evaluation Advisor, and Evaluation Advisor for Afghanistan and Pakistan at the Department for International Development (DFID).
Additionally, she worked as a Senior Research Officer at the Office for Security and Counterterrorism, a Research Officer at the National Policing Improvement Agency, and an Associate Researcher at Queen Mary University.
Al-Saghira Wabran Hamad Mubarak Al-Ahbabi has been the Director of the Department of American Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2018.
Previously, she served as Head of the Media Department at the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Washington and as Head of the North America Section in the Directorate of American Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
