Paraguayan National Audiovisual Institute Awards Project Funding For 2024

The National Audiovisual Institute (INAP) reported on the 16 projects in different development lines that will be awarded with funds totaling just over Gs 2 billion (approximately US$250,000), including co-productions, feature films and documentaries.

The jury of the call for the Competitive Funds for the Promotion of Film and Audiovisuals in Paraguay 2024 issued, after an evaluation process, its final verdict on the awarded projects.

It was made up of Antonio Navarro Cruz (Spain), Diego Mondaca (Bolivia) and María Alché (Argentina).

In a statement INAP extended special thanks to the Instituto Técnico Superior de Artes y Ciencias de la Comunicación (IPAC) for providing the space where the live broadcast was held for the publication of the funds awarded on October 15, as well as to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.

A government statement said: “This joint effort reaffirms the State’s commitment to the growth and strengthening of the Paraguayan film industry, providing opportunities to national filmmakers and promoting the development of projects that represent and enrich Paraguayan culture.”
