Paraguayan agro-food producers are actively showcasing their top-quality products at Food Taipei 2025, one of Asia’s leading food trade fairs. At the Food Taipei Mega Shows, companies from Paraguay are presenting a strong export offer, aiming to connect with international buyers and strengthen their presence in the Asian market.
The Food Taipei Mega Shows, a series of five concurrent trade shows in Taipei, Taiwan, actively display the entire food industry supply chain. From raw materials to finished products, and related equipment. It’s known as Asia’s largest integrated food exhibition. The 2025 edition of the fair runs from 25 to 29 June.
Organised by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the fair provides a platform for Paraguay to position its food sector as a competitive and reliable player within the global supply chain. Public institutions and the private sector actively coordinate efforts to support the initiative.
Diverse exporters present unified front
The Paraguayan delegation at Food Taipei 2025 brings together a diverse mix of established exporters and new firms seeking to reach international markets. These companies aim to highlight their capacity to supply high-quality products that align with global demand and standards. Food Taipei 2025 also serves as a platform to generate business opportunities and foster long-term trade partnerships.
The delegation actively includes companies such as ALPACASA, Minerva Foods, and TGL Food. Additionally, UPISA, Cacao Lab, Emperatriz, Nutrex, Superfoods Paraguay, and Villa Franca S.A. actively participate. Their participation is coordinated through a joint public-private initiative to expand Paraguay’s visibility and impact in Asian markets.
Agro food-export firms in the spotlight
Villa Franca S.A. opened the Paraguayan participation with a presentation on the fair’s main stage. The company highlighted the originality and quality of its beef offerings. Minerva Foods attracted visitors with tastings of their seasoned meat products, reinforcing Paraguay’s reputation as a supplier of innovative and premium meat products.
Other notable participants include Cacao Lab, Emperatriz, and Ñandeté. Ñandeté impressed with its energising morning tea made from moringa, ginger, lemon verbena, boldo, and native herbs. Emperatriz debuted the world’s first cassava-based distilled beverage, macerated with tea and botanicals, while Kuña Mbarete’s functional chocolate was praised for its health benefits tailored to women’s wellness.
Opening doors to new export horizons
For Paraguayan exporters, this trade fair is a gateway to both commercial expansion and market insight. It offers the chance to analyse evolving consumer preferences in Asia, explore specialised market segments, and present value-added products to a global audience.
This level of international engagement is expected to strengthen Paraguay’s trade positioning and contribute to the signing of future export agreements that widen the reach of national producers. Recently Taiwan’s new pork export pact propelled Paraguay as a top East Asian supplier.
