US Economist: What Is Happening Now In Paraguay Is Impressive

The think tank Global Americans is launching a project on the opportunities of the Paraguayan economy and its global positioning, announced the organization’s director Tulio Vera after a meeting with President Santiago Peña.

The presence of the president is very important because we are launching a project on several pillars of what is happening in Paraguay,” he said in a video released by the Presidency of the Republic.

These pillars include U.S.-Paraguay relations, Taiwan’s role in Paraguay’s development, and the way the Paraguayan economy evolves after acquiring investment grade.

As an economist and a person involved in financial markets, I must say that what is happening now in Paraguay is impressive. There are not many stories today of this style. We all came away with a very positive view of the future outlook for the country,” said the director of Global Americans.

As part of his official visit to the United States, President Santiago Peña participated in a session of Global Americans, a research and analysis think tank on Latin America and the Caribbean. The think tank provides services for government officials, executives, journalists, academics, and others interested in this region.

In previous publications, the organisation noted that Paraguay stands out as a reliable and long-standing ally in the region, which President Santiago Peña seeks to position as an indispensable partner for Washington.

It indicates that the United States’ intention to decrease its economic and supply dependence on China could benefit the region, and Paraguay, in plans to increase competitiveness and economic development through the Alliance of the Americas for Economic program.
