Titania Bakery: Artisan Sweetness With A Family Essence

In the Sajonia neighbourhood, just six minutes from downtown Asunción, Titania Bakery stands out as one of the most delicate and heartwarming proposals in the local pastry scene. Founded by Agostina Martínez, a young entrepreneur passionate about baking since her teenage years, this bakery offers desserts that delight not only the palate but also the eyes.

The project began in 2019 as an Instagram account, at a time when baking was still a blend of hobby and inherited passion. “My grandmother used to bake all the cakes for family events, and I learned to cook with her” Agostina recalls. By the age of 14, she was already selling muffins and cookies at school, but it was not until she finished high school that she decided to take things seriously. “I started seeing my venture as a business, not just a hobby.”

After years of growth and learning, Titania Bakery officially opened its first physical location in December 2023. Since then, the shop has received enthusiastic support from the public. “It’s amazing how many new people discovered the business after we opened”, Agostina shares.

Desserts With Personality

Titania Bakery specialises in custom cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and individual desserts available by order with one or two days’ notice. In addition, the shop offers a limited daily selection of freshly made treats for pickup or delivery. Nutella and red velvet cookies are customer favourites, though the quality and presentation of every product remain consistently impressive, winning over both new visitors and returning clients.

Quality is one of the bakery’s defining traits. All ingredients are sourced locally and are of the highest quality, something evident in the flavor, texture, and visual appeal of every creation.

A Space That Feels Like Home

Although the shop operates exclusively for pickup and delivery (with coverage in Asunción, Greater Asunción, and even the city of Limpio), its ambiance and service create a warm and welcoming experience. “People always tell us it feels like home and that’s exactly what we aim for”, says the founder.

The opening hours are Tuesday to Friday from 12:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasionally, the shop may close on Saturdays due to private cooking classes, another service that Titania offers with enthusiasm.

Titania Bakery is located Barrio Sajonia, close to the courthouse.

Details That Make a Difference

Beyond personalised orders and daily selections, Titania Bakery also offers a dessert cart for events, a charming option for weddings and celebrations where the bakery’s sweets are served alongside coffee. “It’s our way of being part of our customers’ special moments, and we truly value that”, she notes.

A human touch runs through every aspect of the business. From daily preparation to final delivery, the service is marked by kindness, patience, and efficiency, values that guide the entire team.

What Is Next For Titania Bakery?

Looking ahead, Titania Bakery plans to introduce specialty coffee and create a cozy seating area where customers can enjoy their desserts on-site. Payment options will also expand: currently, only bank transfers and cash are accepted, but after Easter, a POS system will be added for greater convenience.

Titania Bakery is more than just a bakery. It’s a heartfelt experience filled with history, flavor, and dedication. A place where artisanal baking comes to life and where every sweet, from a simple cookie to a custom cake, is made to be remembered.
