Adrien Anne, a French content creator, has spent the past five years travelling non-stop across the world. Known for filming on rollerblades, his distinctive and fluid visual style has captured attention across social media, particularly on Instagram. His videos combine movement, storytelling, and cinematic precision, offering viewers a perspective that feels both immersive and dynamic. Now based in Paraguay, Anne is entering a new phase of life, one that embraces personal stability.
After years of constant travel, Adrien has chosen Asunción as his home, he tells The Asunción Times. With a growing international career and a baby due in mid-May, his story reflects both reinvention and intention.
From pro skater to filmmaker

Before stepping fully into content creation, Adrien Anne was deeply rooted in the world of professional rollerblading. “I was fully dedicated to rollerblading as a pro skater, and that is how I started to travel a lot.” His athletic career opened doors across continents, allowing him to connect with international communities and brands.
Alongside skating, he began developing a parallel passion for filming. “I was already filming in the rollerblading industry and released a few videos for major brands.”
His work quickly gained recognition, leading him to collaborate with some of the best skaters in the world. Projects took him across Switzerland, Brazil, and multiple countries in Europe.
Building a creative identity for Adrien Anne
As his experience grew, so did his creative independence. Adrien Anne worked on personal projects while continuing to collaborate with established names in the industry. “I had the chance to film some of the best skaters in the world.”
To support himself, he also explored different types of work. “From time to time, I was filming in nightclubs to save money.” This unexpected path led to collaborations with some of Europe’s most renowned venues, expanding his network and versatility.
A turning point through social media

However, a moment of transition eventually arrived. “When I realised I would not be able to skate at the highest level all my life, I had to find a new path,” Adrien Anne reflects. With strong skills in videography and photography, social media became a natural platform. “Instagram opened a door for me.” By sharing not only polished videos but also behind-the-scenes content, he created a more personal connection with his audience.
After years of constant movement, Anne began to rethink the sustainability of his lifestyle. “Travelling non-stop is not compatible with banking or taxes if you have no residency.” Together with his partner, he started exploring options for a more stable base. Their journey took them to several countries. “Panama did not meet our expectations, while Dubai felt too focused on image. Malaysia offered potential, but long-stay requirements made it difficult to balance with our work.”
A different pace of life
Everything changed when Adrien Anne and his partner arrived in Paraguay. “We came here for the first time in 2025 and loved it. People are genuinely happy and nice, and we love the warm weather. The country offers a sense of calm that contrasts with the intensity of larger global hubs.” The decision to stay followed naturally. “We bought an apartment, and now we have a little Paraguayan on the way,” he shares. With a baby expected in mid-May, Paraguay has become home.

For Anne, one of Paraguay’s greatest strengths is its rhythm. “Life slows down here. It has the advantages of big hubs but with less stress. This slower pace has allowed me to focus on both my work and personal life in a more balanced way. We would rather have a child here than in Dubai or Panama.”
Creative opportunities and limitations of Paraguay
Anne’s content continues to evolve, shaped by both his surroundings and his experience. “I always start from what the video needs to show and build around that. My process begins with observation, identifying key visual elements before developing a narrative. I only use natural light, so it can take time to get the perfect conditions.” This approach requires patience, but it gives his videos a distinctive and authentic look.
At the same time, he recognises certain challenges. “There are not many places to visit compared to other destinations.” Despite these limitations, Anne believes Paraguay is often misunderstood, especially in Europe. “People think there is poor internet, no foreigners, and no modern spaces, but it is not true. In reality, I have seen steady growth in expat communities, coworking spaces, and contemporary cafés. Another highlight is the affordability of daily life. Activities such as transport, sports, and dining are far more accessible than in other global cities. This creates opportunities for both residents and visitors to enjoy a higher quality of life.”
Plans for Adrien Anne
Anne’s ambitions continue to expand beyond individual projects. “I am planning to create a global content agency with a maximum of 15 clients.” For him, the goal is to work with top resorts, hotels, and creators around the world, focusing on quality and exclusivity. In the coming months, his work will take him across Europe and Morocco. However, Paraguay remains central to his plans. There is even the possibility of representing Paraguay at the World Skate Games, set to take place in Asunción. “If I can get the passport in time, it will happen for sure.”
For now, Adrien Anne continues to embrace a lifestyle where a typical day does not exist but one thing is certain. “Every day is different. But there is always a bit of filming or editing.”
