Kuazar is a pioneering thrash metal band from Ciudad del Este that has achieved a historic breakthrough for Paraguayan music. After more than two decades of steady work, the band became the first Paraguayan metal act to complete a full European and UK tour. Danfer’s musical journey began in childhood, and despite early academic struggles, he pursued his dream with intensity. And his life even intersected with Oasis’s Liam Gallagher when he served as the singer’s local manager during Liam’s planned Paraguay shows in 2022. That experience led to an unforgettable trip to Mexico. In there, Danfer joined Gallagher’s circle and partied with members of Arctic Monkeys and The Kooks.

Currently studying Songwriting at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Ana bridges Paraguayan roots with global influences. She uses her art to explore identity, anxiety, and homesickness, turning personal struggles into melodies that make listeners feel seen and understood.

5. Paraguayan Rocker Nando Duré: Keeping Classic Hits Alive In Asunción
Nando Duré is a Paraguayan rocker whose lifelong passion for music has defined his artistic journey in Asunción and beyond. He discovered his love for music as a child at family gatherings and never put his guitar down after receiving it from his father. His early inspiration came from rock classics like Survivor’s Burning Heart, sparking a lifelong dedication to the genre.
At sixteen, Nando joined his first band, EOS. Afterwards, he founded Odisea in 2003, a group that keeps rock classics alive more than twenty years later, and released an album of original songs. In 2022, he extended his musical reach by forming Dangerous, a tribute to Roxette that audiences praise for its authentic performances. Nando balances his career as a dentist with his artistic life, continuing to perform with both Odisea and Dangerous while keeping the spirit of classic rock alive.
