The Chirstmas season lights up this 2025 with the third edition of “Villa Navideña” (Christmas Village). Launched by Itaipu Binacional, the exhibition represents both a cultural and tourism-based approach. During the announcement, people enjoyed a drone show, followed by an astonishing fireworks display. Also, a mapping video showcasing the importance of multiculturalism, which is the centre of this 2025 edition, was premiered. At the end, a flash mob directed by “Maestro” Luíz Alvarez took place, alongside a traditional Christmas musical.
Christmas Village is intended to unite families across Paraguay and the region in general. The 2025 motto is: “Where the energy becomes magic” and it will take place from 12 to 20 December. Located in the Manuel Ortiz Guerrero Park in Ciudad del Este, department of Alto Paraná. All access is free of charge, and doors will be open daily from 18:00.
Christmas Village: A cheerful environment
Nights at the village will showcase an enlightening and cheerful environment. The activity plans to bring the family together with joy, as well as to reinforce Christmas as a time of hope and spending moments with the family. Visitors will have access to many thematic spaces, such as Santa Claus’s house, the Nativity Scene, and the Great Christmas Tree.
A food park with a variety of culinary options will also be open to the public. At the same time, a diversity of handicrafts made by local entrepreneurs will also be offered to the attendees. All of this is done with the support of the Council for Social and Environmental Development of Ciudad del Este (CODELESTE).
