The second and final week consolidated that success with achievements across an even wider range of sports. Golden triumphs for the red, white, and blue
Three athletes brought Paraguay to the highest step of the podium.
- Lars Flaming became a national hero on 18 August, winning gold in the men’s javelin throw, a performance that electrified the athletics stadium.
- Nicole Martínez secured glory in women’s single sculls rowing, reaffirming her place as one of Paraguay’s strongest sporting figures.
- Fiorella Gatti made history in squash, capturing the gold medal in the women’s singles event and inspiring new generations in a growing discipline.
Silver strength and near perfection
Paraguay’s silver medal winners showcased both elegance and determination.
- Paloma García dazzled on 22 August with her artistry, claiming silver in women’s solo dance artistic skating.
- Benjamín José Fernández delivered a powerful performance on 23 August to secure silver in men’s individual golf.
- Rowing once again proved decisive, with medals in the men’s coxless pair (Nicolás Villalba and Nicolás Invernizzi), the women’s coxless pair (Nicole Martínez and Fiorela Rodríguez), and the women’s coxless four(Rodríguez, Agustina López, Martínez, and Lucía Martínez).

- In athletics, Ana Paula Arguello finished strong in the women’s heptathlon.

- Golf earned another medal, with Victoria Livieres winning bronze in women’s individual on 23 August.
- The women’s handball team showed resilience to overcome Uruguay and secure their place on the podium.
- Rowing delivered again through the women’s quadruple sculls (Rodríguez, López, Martínez, and Lucía Martínez) and the mixed eight crew (Rodríguez, Villalba, Yser, López, Invernizzi, Giménez, Martínez, Iglesias, and Lucía Martínez).
- Squash added depth with bronze in the women’s team event (Gatti, Karuch Nicole, and Giuliana Cino) and in mixed doubles (Damián Casarino and Fiorella Gatti).
- Taekwondo inspired with two medals: Rubén Arce in men’s individual traditional poomsae and the mixed kyorugi team (Areco, Vera, Treble, Melgarejo, Añasco, and Gaona) against Colombia.
- Tennis also brought joy, as Alex Santino Núñez and Catalina Delmas won bronze in mixed doubles.
- Finally, Violeta Magalí Fernández Martino lifted bronze in women’s 53kg weightlifting, showing strength and determination on the international stage.
