FutureX 2025: Paraguay Moves Forward With Next-Gen Technology

Organised by Paraguayan technology company Itti in partnership with Singularity University, Asunción hosted technology and innovation event FutureX 2025. This showcased Paraguay’s efforts to lead in innovation across Latin America. The event brought together leaders from around the world to explore how emerging technologies are improving daily life, businesses, and human potential.

Challenging old ways with a new mindset

Held at the Conmebol Convention Centre, Asunción, participants explored topics such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, digital medicine, and space exploration. It was a full day of talks, networking, and interactive activities that highlighted Paraguay’s progress in global innovation.

The line-up featured Aaron Frank, an expert in digital realities, and Adam Pantanowitz, a South African bioengineer known for futuristic projects like Brainternet. Other speakers included Alix Rübsaam, a technology philosopher focused on algorithmic justice, Shuo Chen, a Silicon Valley investor. Rodrigo Nieto, a researcher, focussed on technological threats.

“My goal is to solve complex problems where people and technology connect”, said Pantanowitz, capturing the main message of the conference.

Why Paraguay for FutureX 2025?

This is the second year Paraguay has hosted FutureX. The initiative shows the country’s commitment to building a local environment for creativity, learning, and growth.

Paraguay is now part of the action by investing in talent, opening up conversations, and gaining international visibility, also throughout different recent events like “Meeting Sophia the Robot”.

Creating with intention

Beyond presenting new digital tools, the session made everyone think more deeply: Who benefits from innovation? How can it solve real-world challenges in Latin America? What began as a conference became a starting point for Paraguay’s development plans. It inspired action across sectors and generations, from business to education and government, to promote new thinking, build skills, and guide change through imagination and inclusion.
