The World Skate Game event will bring more than 8,000 athletes from over 90 countries to Paraguay from 2 to 18 October. Athletes will compete across 40 disciplines at venues around Asunción and its metropolitan area, including the Comité Olímpico Paraguayo (Paraguayan Olympic Committee), the Secretaría Nacional de Deportes (National Sports Secretariat), the Costanera and Cerro Lambaré.
The World Skate Games are the world championships for a wide range of roller sports, bringing together disciplines such as skateboarding, roller freestyle, scootering, inline hockey, artistic skating and speed skating. ASU26 is the fifth edition of the event and is set to be held in Paraguay. Here is what spectators need to know before attending the Games.
When do the games take place?
The World Skate Games event will run from 2 to 18 October, bringing international competitions to several locations. Different disciplines will take place throughout the 17-day programme, so spectators should check the schedule before planning their visit. Skate Cross and Inline Downhill will feature among the first competitions, while other disciplines continue throughout October.
The opening ceremony will take place on 2 October at 19:00 at the Comité Olímpico Paraguayo (Paraguayan Olympic Committee). Tickets are available through TUTI, allowing spectators to attend the official launch of the Games. World Skate TV will also provide coverage for viewers who cannot attend in person.
Where are the competitions?
The Comité Olímpico Paraguayo (COP) and the Secretaría Nacional de Deportes (SND) will serve as the main competition venues. The COP in Luque will host disciplines including Skate Cross, Inline Hockey, speed events and several skateboarding competitions. Meanwhile, the SND will host Artistic Skating, Inline Freestyle and other events.
The Costanera de Asunción will bring selected competitions closer to the city centre. Cerro Lambaré will host downhill and slalom disciplines, including Inline Downhill, Skateboarding Downhill and Street Luge. Checking the venues leaving will help spectators plan their journey.
How much do tickets cost?
Spectators can access common areas at the COP and SND without purchasing a competition ticket. These areas include fan zones, food spaces, sponsor and entertainment activities. However, visitors need tickets to enter the main competition venues.
A Day Pass for the COP or SND costs ₲10,000 (approximately US$1.70) and provides access to the selected park for one day. Meanwhile, a Full Pass costs ₲100,000 (approximately US$17) and covers both main parks throughout the Games. The Full Pass also includes access to the opening and closing ceremonies.
Where can you buy tickets?
Tickets are available through TUTI, the event’s official ticketing platform. After purchasing a ticket, spectators receive a QR code by email, which they should keep accessible when arriving at the venue.
TUTI accepts cards and several digital payment methods. Visitors should check the ticket conditions before purchasing because access varies according to the selected pass and venue.
Which events are free?
Not every World Skate Games activity requires a ticket. The Costanera and Cerro Lambaré will offer free public access for selected events, while common areas at the COP and SND will also remain accessible without competition tickets.
These areas will allow visitors to experience the atmosphere of the Games without purchasing a competition pass. However, spectators attending specific ticketed competitions should purchase their passes before arriving.
How can you get there?
The COP is located in the city of Luque, while the SND sits on Avenida Eusebio Ayala in Asunción. The Costanera and Cerro Lambaré will host outdoor events at separate locations, meaning travel times will vary depending on the competition.
Therefore, check the discipline, venue and starting time before leaving home. The official ASU26 programme provides the latest venue information and competition schedule. Checking for updates before travelling can also help spectators avoid schedule changes or unnecessary journeys.
With competitions spread across Asunción and its metropolitan area, the World Skate Games will offer several ways to experience international sport. Check the latest programme, choose your event and plan your route before heading to the Games.
