Both job fairs took place simultaneously last Friday, March 21, in San Lorenzo, Central Department, and Ciudad del Este, Alto Paraná. In total, 786 job openings were available for workers with different qualifications.
These events are organised by the Ministry of Labor, Employment, and Social Security (Mtess), in collaboration with departmental governments and business groups.
You can check job openings that were offered and their requirements here. The first step required entering an ID number and date of birth. “Emplea Py” also offered the option to submit a resume online and pre-apply for available positions.
The San Lorenzo Job Fair took place at the Municipal Theater of San Lorenzo, starting at 7:00 AM, with interviews potentially extending until 11:00 AM. A total of 544 job positions will be available.
This event is promoted by the Ministry of Labor, in collaboration with the Chamber of Wholesale and Retail Merchants of Paraguay and affiliated companies.
The job openings were located in Asunción, Fernando de la Mora, Itauguá, Lambaré, Luque, Mariano Roque Alonso, and San Lorenzo.
A total of 13 companies will participate, most of them affiliated with the Chamber of Wholesale and Retail Merchants of Paraguay (Comampar), along with other businesses joining this major hiring event.
Similarly, the Alto Paraná Job Fair offered 242 job openings. Interviews were held at the Governorship Hall in Ciudad del Este, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, aimed to recruit new talent for various positions in Ciudad del Este and Minga Guazú.
Job opportunities were available for positions such as process engineer, production manager, telemarketing representative, store sales associate, general services analyst, purchasing assistant, driver, cashier, security guard, kitchen assistant, waiter, farm supervisor, fiber optic assistant, among others.
The job openings are provided by nearly a dozen companies from industries including plastics manufacturing, hospitality, retail, home appliance sales, telecommunications services, and more.
The job fairs are part of the employment intermediation strategy led by the General Directorate of Employment of the Ministry of Labor. Their goal is to connect registered job openings with available talent across the country through the Emplea PY platform, thus promoting the growth of formal employment, which saw an extensive rise last Q3.
