night clinics

More than 400,000 consultations provided by night clinics since their implementation

The night clinics, implemented by the Ministry of Public Health in 36 hospitals across the country, have registered a total of 401,485 visits since their launch.

This initiative, which extends the opening hours from 4pm to 10pm, helps to relieve congestion in emergency areas, while facilitating access to specialist consultations at night.

Specialties available in the night clinics include pediatrics, gynecology, cardiology, dentistry, internal medicine, traumatology and surgery.

The main objective of the night clinics is to reduce waiting times for consultations and optimise medical assistance for those who require immediate attention.

The Ministry of Public Health encourages users of the public system to take advantage of these extended hours at night clinics, for both periodic check-ups and to treat symptoms of illness.

In a statement, the Ministry of Public Health said that “By ensuring quality medical care, even at night, the Ministry of Health seeks to improve access to health care in the country.”
