Paraguayan Formula 2 (F2) driver Joshua Dürksen is moving to Invicta Racing for the 2026 season. The announcement was made on 22 October 2025. The British Invicta Racing Team is the current leader in F2 for 2025 with Italian driver Leonardo Fornaroli. The Paraguayan driver will thus begin his third season in F2, this time driving a car for the reigning F2 champions.
After two seasons as a driver for AIX Racing, Dürksen has earned nine podiums, including three wins. This accounts for 66 points that his team has accumulated this year.
“A huge step”
“This is a huge step in my racing career and an opportunity to fight for the F2 title,” Dürksen shares on social media. He emphasised that Invicta Racing’s work philosophy and setup are factors that will allow him to fight for the championship in F2.
This F2 level is the prelude to the Paraguayan driver’s ultimate dream: Formula 1. “Receiving this tremendous opportunity fills me with joy, pride, and excitement. I promise to give my all in every race, as I always have,” said Dürksen.
The road ahead for Dürksen and Invicta Racing
This season, two races remain for Joshua Dürksen with AIX Racing. The next one is in Lusail, Qatar (29-30 November). The last one is in Yas Marina, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (6-7 December). He already achieved success at Yas Marina beofre, and hopes to finish the season on a high note with a podium.
Moving to Invicta Racing, Dürksen acknowledges that the challenge remains enormous. However, it “is a fundamental step to keep the hope alive and show that Paraguayan dreams can also go far.” Futhermore, the Paraguayan race prodigy states that his goal in every race will be “to see the Paraguayan flag at the top of the podium.”
Dürksen will get into the Invicta Racing car for the first time during tests held after the end of the current season, in December 2025. “This car may suit me well, or I may not get used to it. We will only find out in the postseason tests. I also need to get to know the team better, so it is going to be a period of great adaptation.”
