The real importance behind reintegration

This store in Emboscada allows citizens to contribute by supporting local artistry and the path to reintegration. Connecting society with inmates and creating a bond demonstrates that community support is a vital part of the process. The craftsmanship involved in this project is important to enrich Paraguayan culture and reinforce national values. Through this process, inmates can use their artistry, along with their training, to create pieces that demonstrate all their work and dedication to the country.

In coordination with the Social Reintegration Department, alongside the support of the Integral Transformation Programme (PTI), which helps find a renewed purposeful path for people deprived of their liberty. Additionally, the Rehabilitation and Reintegration Programme for Marginalised People (REMAR) took part. The institution works with families affected by social exclusion, poverty, addictions, and delinquency, supporting the process of recovery and reintegration into society.

Accrording to the institutions, the opening of this space represents a significant development in the visibility of policies on social reintegration. At the same time, promoting the growth of the productive and work-related activities of people serving sentences. It highlights the importance of restoring dignity to people deprived of their liberty and of preparing them for their return to society.
