Paraguayan postgraduate students in the United Kingdom will host Paraguay Speaks 2026 on 4 June 2026, bringing together academics, policymakers, and international experts to discuss Paraguay’s future. The forum aims to strengthen links between Paraguay and the United Kingdom while highlighting opportunities for development, investment, and international cooperation.
Connecting Paraguay with global perspectives
Paraguay Speaks 2026 will take place from 13:30 to 18:30 BST at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in London. The event is being organised by Paraguayan postgraduate students based in the United Kingdom and is supported by the Embassy of Paraguay in the United Kingdom, the British Embassy in Paraguay, Chevening Paraguay, and Chevening Alumni Paraguay.
Throughout the afternoon, participants will examine key issues shaping Paraguay’s future. Discussions will focus on education, infrastructure, energy, and the economy. Therefore, bringing together voices from academia, diplomacy, business, and public policy. Organisers hope the forum will create a space for meaningful dialogue between national and international stakeholders. By connecting different sectors and perspectives, the event seeks to generate ideas that can contribute to Paraguay’s long-term development.
A lasting legacy beyond the event
The forum is expected to attract a diverse audience. Participants will include Paraguayan academics, researchers, and students living in the United Kingdom. At the same time, international experts with experience in Paraguay and Latin America. Diplomatic representatives, members of multilateral organisations, business leaders, and civil society actors are also expected to attend. The event will additionally be open to members of the public interested in learning more about Paraguay’s opportunities and challenges.
