Paraguayan Products Break Into 16 New Global Markets In Early 2025

MIC – Asunción, Paraguay, April 23, 2025, – In a notable stride for its export strategy, Paraguay successfully introduced 17 locally manufactured products into 16 new global markets during the first quarter of 2025. The shipments, valued at over USD 6.9 million, demonstrate the country’s increasing integration into global trade.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Paraguay, via its Directorate of Intelligence at the Vice Ministry of REDIEX (Network of Investments and Exports), these first-time exports reached global markets across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, including countries such as France, Austria, Kazakhstan, Hong Kong, and the United States.

While Paraguay maintains existing trade relationships with several of these nations, the noteworthy global market development is the first-ever entry of specific products like edible gelatin, cassava starch, electric bicycles, and bovine offal into these markets.

Key Export Highlights:

  • Chia seeds made their way to Kazakhstan, tapping into the Central Asian market with exports worth USD 83,280.
  • Ice cream and gelatin capsules reached Brazil, totaling over USD 361,000 combined.
  • Tanned bovine leather entered the Czech Republic at USD 175,209, aligning with the demands of the European leather industry.
  • Cigarette filters were exported to Canada (USD 103,617), and bronze scrap to Hong Kong (USD 151,258).
  • Bovine offal shipments went to Uzbekistan and Bermuda, totaling USD 105,803.
  • Aluminum construction components were delivered to Venezuela for USD 86,171.
  • Cassava starch made its debut in Austria (USD 113,288), while glycerin was exported to India (USD 122,699).
  • The largest single shipment in this report was ethanol from grains to Argentina, valued at USD 4.78 million.
  • Other new exports included shredded tobacco to Suriname, edible gelatin to France, laminated glass to Uruguay, and iron structures to Argentina.
  • Electric control cabinets were sent to Bolivia, and electric bicycles to the United States (USD 56,840).

As Paraguayan goods begin to reach global markets, the country is establishing itself as a competitive and reliable player in international commerce – exporting everything from food and agriculture to industrial and tech-driven products.
