Paraguay Set To Host Major Logistics Expo Aimed At Becoming Regional Hub

The 16th edition of the Paraguay Logistics Expo (Expo Logística Paraguay 2026) is officially launched, establishing a key platform to promote the nation as a regional business hub and enhance its national competitiveness. The major logistics Expo event is scheduled to take place from the 3 to 5 June, 2026, at the CONMEBOL Convention Centre in Luque, near Asunción. Furthermore, it is set to bring together more than 130 companies from a diverse range of countries, including China, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, and Bolivia.

This year’s exposition aims to firmly place Paraguay on the global logistics map, attracting a considerable number of international investors and entrepreneurs. For the first time, the event will incorporate dedicated business matchmaking rounds. These sessions are specifically designed to generate concrete opportunities for commercial links and partnerships among attendees, thereby adding a new layer of practical value to the gathering.

Major logistics Expo for international business

The inclusion of business-focused networking sessions marks a significant evolution for the expo. Organisers intend for these structured meetings to facilitate direct engagement between local and international firms, fostering collaborations that could drive future growth. Consequently, the event serves as more than just a showcase; it is an active marketplace for ideas, services, and commercial ventures.

By attracting participants from economic powers like China and Mexico alongside key regional neighbours, the expo highlights Paraguay’s strategic ambition. The government and industry leaders hope to leverage the country’s central location in South America to build a logistics and trade network. This initiative is seen as crucial for the nation’s long-term economic development and integration into global supply chains.

Government backs logistical improvements

Alberto Sborovsky, the Vice Minister of Commerce and Services, commented on the importance of the event, valuing Paraguay’s role as host. He stated that the expo will serve as a catalyst for improving logistical competitiveness within the country. This, in turn, will help ensure that Paraguayan products can reach international markets under favourable conditions and at competitive prices.

“The challenge is for our production to be able to move at competitive prices, both internally and externally,” Sborovsky stated.

In a separate statement, Sborovsky highlighted the inherent advantages Paraguay possesses. These include a low tax burden and an abundance of raw materials that are highly valued on a global scale. In addition, he pointed to the executive branch’s ongoing efforts to diversify the national logistics matrix, a strategic move designed to reduce dependencies and increase efficiency across the transport sector.

A convergence of industry leaders

The scale of the event was confirmed by Carlos Núñez, Director of Market Comunicaciones. He announced that this year’s Expo Logística Paraguay will feature the participation of more than 100 national and international brands. This positions the expo as a premier space where technology, transport, storage, and data management converge.

Núñez described the platform as a crucial gathering for key companies from both the Paraguayan logistics industry and the wider region. The event will therefore provide a comprehensive overview of the latest trends, innovations, and solutions shaping the future of supply chain management.

In June 2026, Paraguay will also host Expo Real Estate 2026: A hub for regional property investment.
