ESSAP launches interest exemption campaign for users with delinquent accounts

The Paraguayan Sanitation Services Company (ESSAP) launched a campaign on Tuesday to recover its bad debt portfolio, aimed at helping its users regularise their debts and alleviate their financial situation.

This initiative, promoted by instructions from the President of the Republic, Santiago Peña, will be in effect until January 31, 2025.

To this end, the institution has opened its Customer Service Centers in Asunción, San Lorenzo and regional offices in the interior of the country to receive interested users. The telephone number 021-162 is also available for additional queries.

As a main benefit, the campaign offers total exemption from late payment interest for users with active and closed accounts who can make the payment in cash. For those who cannot pay off their entire debt in a single installment, ESSAP facilitates installment plans, with a minimum initial payment of 10% and financing for up to 36 months.

The campaign also includes a 50% discount on administrative fees for regularising illegal or irregular connections.

The aim of this campaign is to “strengthen the commitment to users by offering options that facilitate the normalisation of their services and contribute to a better future for all”, said a spokesperson for ESSAP.
