Paraguay strengthens bilateral relations with Guatemala and Belize

The national foreign minister, Rubén Ramírez Lezcano, held meetings with the foreign ministers of Guatemala and Belize, with the aim of advancing the strengthening of bilateral relations and exploring new areas of cooperation.

During their meeting with the Guatemalan Foreign Minister, Carlos Ramiro Martínez, they discussed the current situation of relations between the two countries and agreed on the need to continue this process.

It was agreed to move forward with the political consultation mechanism and cooperation projects that could be implemented in the near future were discussed.

Meeting with his counterpart from Belize

Likewise, Foreign Minister Ramírez Lezcano met with Francis Fonseca, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Education, Culture, Science and Technology of Belize.

During this meeting, they highlighted the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation and agreed to advance a common agenda that will allow for the deepening of ties between both nations.

They also discussed regional challenges and agreed on the existence of various areas of cooperation that can be consolidated to achieve closer collaboration, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
