During the high tide season (March–April), lifeguards are available from 08:00 to 20:00.
2. Playa Mboi Ka’e, Encarnación – Itapúa
Located approximately 360 kilometres from Asunción, Playa Mboi Ka’e is also known as a hidden paradise and is Encarnación’s second most important beach. Inaugurated in 2013, this location offers a more tranquil environment in comparison with its sister beach, San José. Visitors are surrounded by native flora and treated to an incomparable view. In the small town of Hernandarias, 340 kilometres from Asunción, lies Playa Tacurú Pucú. 6. Playa Laguna Blanca, Santa Rosa del Aguaray – San Pedro
Known as the Paraguayan Caribbean, Laguna Blanca is a crystalline lake located 250 kilometres from Asunción.
