The call for artists from all over the country to create a mural at the new Cultural Center of the Port is open until October 31.
Two mural proposals will be presented: one on the façade of the Port, with an educational approach that allows the public to learn about the history of the site, and another on the pier with a theme to be defined in workshops with those selected.
The selected artists will participate in creative workshops, where they will be able to conceptualise and develop their ideas in collaboration with the artistic collective Estudio 8.
Visual artists over 18 years of age, citizens, naturalised persons and permanent residents of the country may participate. For more details and registration, please complete the Mural Competition contact form.
The project has the support of the German Embassy in Paraguay, the Office of the First Lady, the Itaú Paraguay Foundation and Estudio 8, which will coordinate the interventions together with a group of artists selected by the National Secretariat of Culture.
Mural Competition Schedule
• November 2: Announcement of the selected artists
• November 9: Immersion workshop and workshop
• November 16: Assembly and definition of the composition of the mural
• November 18: Execution of the mural
