The Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC) together with the National Development Bank and Cadam, plan to implement greater benefits and facilities for access to credit for the automotive sector, seeking to promote sustainable mobility in Paraguay.
In order to analyse and project several key points that make up the promotion of sustainable mobility in the national territory, the Vice Minister of Industry, Lorena Méndez, received the commercial manager of the National Development Bank, Amalia del Puerto, and the manager of the Chamber of Distributors of Automobiles and Machinery (Cadam), Diego Lovera, among other technicians of the sector.
During the meeting, new promotions and preferential rates were presented, which will be launched, aimed at facilitating the purchase of electric and hybrid vehicles available to people.
These improvements are expected to have a positive impact on the automotive market and on the strengthening of the environment, promoting the transition towards more sustainable transport alternatives.
Vice Minister Méndez highlighted that this meeting with the managers of BNF and CADAM was an opportunity to present and discuss the benefits that will be offered for the acquisition of brand new vehicles, with a special focus on encouraging the sale of conventional, electric and hybrid vehicles.
“We are talking about developing a digital platform for submitting documents and speeding up validation. If all documents are in order, approval could be obtained within 48 hours”, Méndez said.
The aforementioned product will be presented at the new edition of the CADAM expo to be held. “With this, we seek to encourage and increase confidence in electric mobility in our country”, she added
To conclude, Méndez highlighted that, from the MIC, as a member of the Strategic Council for Electric Mobility, “efforts are being redoubled to move forward with joint actions that are truly effective, with both public and private sectors, as well as with academia and international cooperation.”
