The Paraguay Business Fair (FEPY) 2026 is bringing together more than 150 companies, brands, and institutions from Paraguay and abroad. Held at the Paraguayan Olympic Committee from 3 to 5 June, FEPY is positioning itself as a key platform for investment promotion, industrial development, and international business connectivity.
Organised by the Paraguayan Industrial Union (UIP), the event forms part of Paraguay Business Week, a broader initiative aimed at strengthening the country’s profile as a regional hub for trade, innovation, and investment. This year’s edition gathers representatives from more than 23 countries, reflecting growing international interest in Paraguay’s economic potential.
A business fair focused on concrete deals
At the centre of FEPY 2026 is the International Business Roundtable, a structured business matchmaking platform designed to turn networking into tangible agreements. Companies participate in pre-scheduled B2B meetings based on sector alignment and commercial interests, with each session lasting around 25 minutes. The format builds on the success of previous editions. Organisers expect this year’s edition to surpass 2025’s figures, driven by increased participation and expanded sectoral diversity.
Industries represented include manufacturing, agribusiness, technology, energy, logistics, construction, and services, reflecting Paraguay’s increasingly diversified economic base.
Government and private sector aligned on growth
The opening of the event was led by President Santiago Peña, who reaffirmed Paraguay’s ambition to consolidate itself as one of the most competitive and investment-friendly economies in the region. He highlighted macroeconomic stability, demographic advantages, and strategic geographic positioning as key factors supporting investor confidence.
UIP President Enrique Duarte echoed this vision, stressing the importance of accelerating industrial transformation through innovation, technological adoption, and greater value-added production. According to Duarte, strengthening these areas is essential for expanding Paraguay’s participation in global markets. His remarks reflect a broader national strategy focused on moving beyond primary production and increasing the country’s industrial and export capacity.
Paraguay’s regional positioning strategy
As the event unfolds, FEPY 2026 is reinforcing Paraguay’s strategy to position itself as a competitive destination for foreign direct investment. By combining international business matchmaking, institutional dialogue, and sectoral exhibitions, the country is presenting itself as both a production base and a strategic connector within South America.
In a context of shifting global supply chains and increasing regional competition for investment, events such as FEPY are becoming central to how countries communicate their economic ambitions. For Paraguay, the key challenge will be ensuring that the connections formed during the fair translate into long-term partnerships, industrial expansion, and sustained economic growth beyond the event itself.
