Paraguay’s Certified Exports Surpass US$440 Million In February 2026

Paraguay’s certified exports, supported by certificates of origin, surpassed US$440 million in February 2026, according to official data. In total, national manufactures reached US$442 million during the second month of the year, representing 421,606 tonnes of exported goods. In international trade, a certificate of origin is a document issued by the final producer or exporter that grants tariff benefits in destination countries and allows exporters to access established import quotas.

The figures were provided by the country’s Single Window for Exports (VUE). According to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the results reflect the continued dynamism of Paraguay’s foreign trade sector and the diversification of international markets for national products.

The Americas remain Paraguay’s main export destination

The American continent continued to be the main destination for Paraguay’s certified exports. During February, shipments to the region reached US$256 million. In total, Paraguay exported 340,565 tonnes of goods to countries across the Americas.

Brazil remained the country’s most important trading partner in the region. Imports of Paraguayan manufactured products reached US$78 million during the month. Argentina followed with purchases valued at US$47 million. Chile also maintained a strong presence among regional buyers, importing goods worth US$44 million.

The United States ranked close behind these markets. According to official figures, imports of Paraguayan products totalled US$43 million in February. Other markets within the Americas also contributed to export growth. Canada registered imports worth US$15 million, while Bolivia purchased approximately US$10 million in Paraguayan goods during the analysed period.

Asia strengthens its role

Meanwhile, Asia ranked as the second-largest destination for Paraguayan exports. The region recorded purchases worth US$144 million during February. These shipments represented 46,958 tonnes of goods exported from Paraguay. Taiwan stood out as the leading Asian buyer. Imports from Paraguay reached US$86 million during the month. Japan followed with purchases valued at US$7 million.

European markets also maintained steady demand for Paraguayan exports. Shipments to Europe reached US$34 million in February. In total, Paraguay exported around 30,900 tonnes of products to countries across the continent. Finally, markets in Oceania and Africa registered imports exceeding US$1 million. Although smaller in volume, these figures illustrate Paraguay’s growing presence in non-traditional markets.
