The State of Paraná
The state of Paraná is known for its breathtaking landscapes and orderly cities. Paraná is a powerhouse of Southern Brazil. The region serves as a vital bridge between the industrial hubs of the southeast and the borders of Paraguay and Argentina. Paraná offers a high quality of life that distinguishes it as one of the most developed regions in the country.
Economically, Paraná is a titan of agribusiness. The state is consistently ranking as one of Brazil’s top producers of grain, particularly soya, maize, and wheat. However, the economy is far from one-dimensional. The state boasts a sophisticated industrial sector, with a massive automotive cluster and a flourishing food processing industry.
Energy also plays a pivotal role, as the state cooperates the Itaipu Dam, one of the largest hydroelectric power plants in the world. This blend of fertile soil, industrial prowess, and renewable energy makes Paraná a central pillar of the Brazilian economy. This is attracting significant foreign investment and maintaining a robust export market. Business from other countries or regions of Brazil are working hand in hand with the Paraná Commercial Association to develop the region.
