Paraguay Become CONMEBOL U-15 South American Champions For The Third Time

The Albirrojita won the CONMEBOL Under 15 championship yesterday in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, beating Ecuador on penalties in the final. The team led by Mariano Uglessich closed a great campaign with three wins, two draws and one loss, and became South American champions of the category again after 15 years.

The final of the tournament was played last night, in a match that ended 0-0 and was decided by penalties 4-3 in favor of Paraguay.

This is the third time that Paraguay has been crowned as South American Champions in the Under 15 category. The last time was in 2009.
