Paraguay Business Week 2026 Coming Up, Boosting Investment And Trade

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC) has officially launched the second edition of Paraguay Business Week, an event designed to position the country as a significant regional hub by promoting international investment and business opportunities. Paraguay Business Week 2026 will be held in two distinct stages.

The first session is scheduled for 3 to 5 June at the Paraguayan Olympic Committee (COP) in Luque near Asunción, with a second, main event planned for 11 to 13 November in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay’s second biggest city.

The initial event in June will take place within the framework of the presentation for the Feria Empresarial del Paraguay (Feria Empresarial del Paraguay, or FEPY). This 2026 edition of this major business fair is, after the 2025 edition, once more organised by the Unión Industrial Paraguaya (UIP), the country’s primary industrial association.

A strategic platform for national industry

The partnership with the UIP for the June 2026 event is, according to the organisers, particularly significant, as it demonstrates a coordinated effort to showcase the capabilities of Paraguayan industries to a broad international audience. FEPY serves as a key platform for national businesses to exhibit their products and services. Therefore, integrating the Paraguay Business Week into its presentation provides an immediate and relevant context for potential investors and international partners seeking new opportunities in the South American market.

Following the initial session, the main edition of the business week will take place in Ciudad del Este. This November event will be fully integrated into the 17th Expo Paraguay Brasil, which is one of the most important forums for strengthening business links between the two neighbouring countries. Consequently, the timing and location have been strategically chosen to maximise engagement with a wide range of Brazilian enterprises and investors.

Focus on cross-border collaboration

By holding the main event alongside the Expo Paraguay Brasil, organisers aim to leverage an established and highly successful business network. The expo has a long history of connecting companies and facilitating cross-border trade, making it an ideal partner for the business week. This integration provides participants of Paraguay Business Week with direct access to a dynamic commercial environment, enhancing opportunities for securing bilateral agreements and forging lasting partnerships.

Both the June and November events will feature a structured agenda designed to produce tangible business outcomes. The programme includes dedicated business matchmaking sessions, allowing companies to connect with potential clients, suppliers, and partners. Furthermore, the schedule will feature presentations of specific projects seeking financing, as well as strategic meetings with key international stakeholders.

Paraguay Business Week 2026 launched

During the launch announcement, Javier Viveros, the Vice Minister of Industry, detailed the impressive results from the 2025 edition. The combined efforts of the previous Paraguay Business Week and the Expo Paraguay Brasil yielded significant outcomes. The events successfully facilitated more than 2,800 business meetings, which involved the participation of nearly 1,000 companies from 10 different countries.

These extensive interactions generated business intentions valued at over US$421 million. This figure represents the potential value of deals and partnerships initiated during the events, demonstrating a strong and growing interest in the Paraguayan market.

A unified vision for economic growth

Enrique Duarte, the President of the UIP, also spoke at the Paraguay Business Week 2026 launch, where he highlighted the effective coordination with the government. Duarte praised the initiative, noting its fundamental value in promoting national industry, stimulating commerce, and generating essential employment for the population.

This public-private partnership is central to the event’s strategy. It ensures that the opportunities created align with the needs of the country’s industrial base. By working together, the MIC and UIP aim to ensure that the benefits of increased foreign trade and investment are distributed broadly throughout the Paraguayan economy, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises alongside larger corporations.
