This Monday, December 2, will be the first flight on the new Campinas – Asuncion air route, between Campinas Airport (VCP), in the state of Sao Paulo, and Silvio Pettirossi Airport (ASU), marking a milestone in connectivity between Paraguay and Brazil.
The route is offered by Azul Linhas Aéreas, which will offer direct flights from the airport – the fifth largest in Brazil in terms of traffic volume – and plans for direct flights from Recife, Curitiba and Florianópolis during the high season.
The Minister of the National Secretariat of Tourism (Senatur), Angie Duarte, celebrated the arrival of the airline Azul and more air routes with Paraguay. “This new route will open the doors for more Brazilians to discover the wonders of Paraguay, boosting tourism and the economy in our country,” she posted on her X account.
The arrival of the first direct flight will be celebrated this Monday, December 2 at 11:20 a.m. at Silvio Pettirossi International Airport.
A government statement added: “This event represents a new stage in the promotion of tourism in Paraguay, where the country is positioned as an accessible and attractive destination for Brazilian and international tourists.”
