The Folkloric cast Jukyresa Jeroky, originally from the city of Eusebio Ayala in the department of Cordillera, are preparing to bring Paraguay’s colour and cultural richness to the Hispanic Parade to be held in New York City on October 13.
During this prestigious event, which brings together representatives of various Spanish-speaking countries, the group will show typical costumes and inspired by Guaraní folklore, highlighting Paraguay’s cultural roots. The participation of Jukyresa Jeroky, beyond highlighting the art of traditional dance, seeks to connect the attendees with the essence of Paraguayan identity.
From their official Facebook page, the cast shared an emotional message about the importance of their participation: “Travelling and representing your country through dance is a transformative experience that goes beyond simply showing movements. It is a cultural journey, a deep connection to our roots and an opportunity to share our identity with the world.”
With great enthusiasm, the group is preparing to embark on this journey, carrying with it the commitment to leave the name of Eusebio Ayala and all Paraguay on an international stage as significant as the Hispanic Parade.
This parade is an annual tradition held on Fifth Avenue in New York, where thousands of people celebrate and promote the culture and history of Hispanic countries, offering a platform for groups like Jukyresa Jeroky to share their heritage with the world.
