Music, Crafts And Eco-Conscious Vibes At Eko’ape Feria Fest 2026 In Asunción

The fourth edition of Eko’ape Feria Fest will take place at the Cultural Centre of the Port of Asunción on Saturday, 9 May 2026. The event is consolidating a space where music, craftsmanship and environmental awareness will converge to strengthen community and culture. At the helm are the founders Mali Oliveira and Fabri Demestri, with the help of the music band Perse.

The origins of Eko’ape Feria Fest trace back to 2022, when the organisers first planted the seed of a project that would grow into a cultural and ecological gathering. Each edition has expanded in scope, drawing more artisans, musicians, and community members into its orbit. What began as a small initiative has steadily evolved into a recognised festival. Organisers are emphasising that its strength lies in the gradual building of a community.

As Fabri Demestri explains, “What we will keep learning is that community is built… the audience will grow larger with each edition as the project evolves.” This forward‑looking vision positions the fourth edition not just as another event, but as a milestone in the ongoing consolidation of a space where culture, sustainability, and human connection will continue to flourish.

Environmental awareness and community’s support

“It is one of the core axes that drives the event, because Eko’ape revolves around several pillars. One is live music, another is the fair of local entrepreneurs, a third is wellbeing, with activities for children, all connected to nature, and practices such as yoga and meditation that promote physical health. The fourth is environmental awareness, which acts as a transversal axis across all activities. Music, for instance, is often influenced by nature; artisans may create paintings of natural landscapes. In this way, every aspect of the festival is permeated by environmental awareness.” Mali Oliveira explains.

Fabri Demestri tells us about the community’s support. “It is connected, as if bringing together several tribes with similar interests, and that is truly one of the most beautiful aspects. You realise that it is always a little difficult to move, to meet new people, but you also see that we are contributing our grain of sand. As musicians, as artists, as yoga practitioners, we are interested in spreading that; supporting artists, sharing knowledge of our rich music, and supporting all singer‑songwriters. In this way, people are brought together.”

The organisers of Eko’ape Feria Fest highlighted the importance of the artisans. They bring paintings and crafts that represent the core essence of the event. In addition, the entrepreneurs play a vital role in bringing the fair to life through their sales, while the artists truly shape the festival by creating unique experiences that define its character.

Eko’ape Feria Fest innovation and improvement

“For me, the fundamental aspect is the consolidation of a human team that truly lives the essence of what Eko’ápe is. Through that spirit and their professionalism, we will be able to share and deliver an event that genuinely reaches people in the same way as those who ultimately experience it.” says Mali Oliveira.

At the heart of the Eko’ape Feria Fest lies the strength of a dedicated team that embodies the essence of the event. This year, several improvements will be introduced such as the invitation of two international artists and an expanded yoga programme. The programme will be offering diverse disciplines. Additionally, a media partner will enhance communication and visibility. Together, these elements will help the organisers achieve greater impact and elevate the festival experience.

Regional impact and future wishes

Eko’ape Feria Fest is steadily becoming a cultural corridor in South America, connecting artists from Paraguay’s interior with peers from Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay. The organisers emphasise that the festival is not only about local audiences but about building networks across borders through personal encounters, shared stages, and collaborative exchanges. This year, international guests will join Paraguayan singer‑songwriters, reinforcing the event’s role as a hub for regional dialogue.

As Fabri Demestri explains: “Eko’ape will become a point in the region where we can exchange – a place to welcome musicians from abroad who will later welcome us there as well.”

A heartfelt invitation

The programme will begin with a DJ set, followed by live music and surprises throughout the evening. There will also be children’s activities, telescope observation, and yoga classes. The organisers extend an open invitation to all on Saturday, 9 May, from 16:00 at the Cultural Centre Port of Asunción. The Port is used as cultural gathering for multiple events, such as the Embarcate in March 2026.

The event will be pet‑friendly and family‑friendly, welcoming grandparents, parents, children and friends alike. With national talents, diverse gastronomy, artisan crafts and sustainable products, Eko’ápe promises to deliver a vibrant cultural and ecological experience for everyone who wishes to support and enjoy it.
