Paraguayan Olympic Athlete Gabriela Narvárez receives her Olympic diploma for her performance at Paris 2024

Judo competitor Gabriela Narváez received her Olympic diploma for finishing 7th in the general classification of female judo -48 kg.

The athlete marked history for the Paraguayan Olympic sport by reaching the quarterfinals at the Paris Olympics.

There, the Mongolian Baasankhuu Bavuudorj fell, who ended up winning the silver medal. The gold medal in the competition was taken by Natsumi Tsunoda from Japan.

The Olympic diploma is awarded to the top eight in the Olympic competitions. In addition to Narváez, the Paraguayan team, upon reaching the quarterfinals, also has one more Olympic diploma, the third for the country, after the silver medal in soccer in Athens 2004.

The diploma was presented by authorities of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee (COP), President Camilo Pérez López Moreira; Vice President Julio Ferrari; the Secretary General, Juan Carlos Orihuela and the Head of Mission, Larissa Schaerer.
