The municipality is handing the stage at the historic port to Asunción’s emerging bands for an afternoon. Rock, pop, cumbia and whatever else the city’s young musicians turn up with, all of it original material rather than covers.
It is run as a competition, with bands registering until 20 September, though you do not need to be in one to come and listen. The setting does a lot of the work: the old port is one of the better places in the city to stand outdoors with music playing.
Free, open air, starting at 14:00. Part of the city’s Youth Month programme.
