How to join Paraguay’s volunteer firefighter corps
Each applicant must undergo and succeed in rigorous physical, medical, and psychotechnical assessments. This institution, widely known as ‘La Academia’, is the central hub for firefighter instruction in Paraguay. Key requirements for applicants
The training schedule is specifically designed to accommodate individuals with existing commitments, as all classes are conducted over the weekends. To be considered for a position, candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 45. Upon their official incorporation, these newly qualified firefighters are assigned to serve in one of the more than 120 fire stations strategically located across the country.
