From 26 to the 29 of March, 2026, the Olympic Park in Luque, near to Paraguay’s capital Asunción, will host the first edition of the COP Expo. Situated on the Ñu Guasu Highway, the venue will serve as the stage for a comprehensive fair designed to unite athletes, institutions, brands, and enthusiasts from more than 30 Olympic sports, in addition to motorsport and fitness. This event is being presented as the first significant milestone in Paraguay’s journey towards hosting the ASU 2031 Pan American Games.
For four days, the public will have the opportunity to experience sport in a completely different way. The expo will provide dedicated spaces for participation, learning, and connecting with the leading figures of the Olympic movement within the country. Consequently, the Olympic Park will be transformed into a major centre for experiences, business, training, and sports entertainment, with a wide array of activities aimed at all ages.
A pivotal moment for Paraguayan sport
The fair arrives at a crucial time for the sporting, institutional, and strategic positioning of Paraguay. The nation is currently experiencing a period of growing international visibility, which is complemented by significant investments in both infrastructure and the organisation of global-scale events. In this context, the COP Expo aims to solidify Paraguay’s position as an expanding regional sports hub.
“We want the COP Expo to be a celebration of everything that sport represents: discipline, passion, community and development. It is an invitation for all Paraguayans to be part of this new stage,” says Federica Sierra, the Marketing and Commercial Director of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee (COP), which is organising the event alongside the EA PY agency.
A platform for sport, training and new experiences
The COP Expo will bring together representatives from over 30 Olympic disciplines in one location, alongside offerings related to motorsport and fitness. The event is set to become a vital meeting point for the exchange of knowledge, the creation of opportunities, and the strengthening of the national sports chain.
This will be achieved through a programme that includes keynote conferences, interactive stands, workshops, open classes, and dedicated networking spaces. Furthermore, sports exhibitions and various recreational activities will be featured throughout the four-day event.
The extensive programme will offer a range of activities designed to engage attendees, including:
- Master conferences with leading experts;
- Interactive stands from various sports and brands;
- Practical workshops and open classes;
- Dedicated networking spaces for professionals;
- Dynamic sports exhibitions;
- A variety of recreational activities.
The COP Expo Congress
A central feature of the event will be the COP Expo Congress, which will take place during three days of the fair. This congress will convene national and international leaders in fields such as management, marketing, communication, health and wellbeing. Additional topics will include infrastructure, technology and innovation, and sports tourism. It therefore represents a significant opportunity for professional development for both practitioners and students who are interested in the latest global trends within the sector.
The congress is designed to provide attendees with valuable insights and updates, fostering a more informed and globally connected professional sports community within Paraguay. The focus on diverse areas ensures a comprehensive learning experience, touching upon all major facets of the modern sports industry.
Entertainment for the whole family
In terms of entertainment, the expo has planned circuits for rollerblading, skateboarding, and cycling. A notable highlight will be the Tirikarrera, a race specifically designed for children and families. This event will also feature an appearance by Tirika, the official mascot of Paraguayan sport, adding a unique and memorable element for younger attendees and their families.
These activities are intended to promote an active lifestyle in a fun and engaging format. They underscore the expo’s commitment to being an open, inclusive event that champions sport and physical activity for the wider public.
Access and registration information
The COP Expo is aimed at a broad audience, including amateur and professional athletes, companies, families, and the general public. It is oriented towards the promotion of sport and physical activity. The fair will be open daily from 10:00 to 20:00.
