Félix Pérez Cardozo’s team was crowned champion of the 2025 Women’s National Basketball League. In the final game played at the León Condou Stadium in Barrio Mariscal López, the red team defeated the home team, San José, 64-55. The club, named after Paraguayan harpist and composer Félix Pérez Cardozo, secured the title for the third consecutive year.
“With character, teamwork, and sporting excellence, Félix Pérez once again established itself at the pinnacle of Paraguayan women’s basketball,” highlighted the Paraguayan Basketball Federation, congratulating the champions.
“Given it my all”
With 19 points and 11 rebounds, Trinity Baptiste was one of the standout players for the championship team. Additionally, Paloma Niz, who contributed 5 assists, and Ximena Ibarra, who added 9 points. The championship will also mark the farewell of the remarkable player Johanna Ghiringelli.
“I have given it my all, basketball has given me everything, and this is where we end,” the athlete announced to the press during the celebration.
Women’s National Basketball League of Paraguay (LNBF)
The Liga Nacional de Básquetbol Femenino (LNBF), is Paraguay’s premier women’s basketball competition. The league serves up a brilliant spectacle of domestic talent and tactical play.
