In an inspiring display of unity and compassion, Paraguay came together on 7 and 8 November to support Teletón 2025. Thanks to the generosity and trust of thousands of citizens, the Teletón Foundation exceeded its fundraising goal, reaching an impressive Gs. 15,785,257,123 (approximately US$2,2 million).
The funds will allow the organisation to expand its services to even more families across Paraguay’s 17 departments and the capital, Asunción.
A celebration of hope and generosity

For 28 hours, the Mariscal Convention Centre became the stage for Paraguay’s most emotional charity marathon. Audiences were treated to moving stories of perseverance, live music, dance, and special performances by national and international artists. The event blended entertainment and empathy, reminding everyone that solidarity can indeed transform lives.
This year’s edition included the traditional Itaú Run, and the much-anticipated Partido de las Estrellas (All-Star Match), where football legends relived the nation’s most glorious moments on the pitch. The atmosphere was festive and emotional, with thousands following the event both in person, and through live broadcasts across the country.
Football legends return to the pitch

The Partido de las Estrellas brought together two generations of Paraguayan football heroes: the 2010 World Cup team and the 1998 France World Cup players. In a thrilling match, the South Africa 2010 team lifted the trophy after a 3-1 victory. Jonathan Santana scored twice and Diego Barreto sealed the win, while Yegritos managed to score the consolation goal for the 1998 side.
The match featured unforgettable names such as Rubén Ruiz Díaz, Ricardo “Mono” Tavarelli, Celso Ayala, Pedro Sarabia, Roberto “Toro” Acuña, Justo Villar, and many others. The teams were guided by the experienced Carlos Jara Saguier, adding even more nostalgia to the event. For many fans, it was a heartfelt reunion with their sporting idols, all united for a greater cause.
Music, tributes, and unforgettable moments
Throughout the marathon, music and dance filled the venue with energy and hope. Performers included Christian Puga and Los Ladrones Sueltos, Bahiano, Los Miers, Nadia Portillo, Nath Aponte, Trilogía Vallenata, Ana Romey, Ocho Corazones, and many more. Highlights also included the Zumbatón, a lively show by Calle 7, and a musical adaptation of The Lion King performed by Comedia Musical and Tiki Show.
The Foundation also paid tribute to Dr. Raúl Antola, founder of La Comilona, who passed away earlier this year. His daughters were present to honour his legacy and to continue the dream he helped build, a dream of inclusion and solidarity that lives on in every Teletón campaign.
A nation united for Teletón 2025

As the clock struck midnight on Sunday, 9 November 2025, Paraguay celebrated the most anticipated announcement of the year: Teletón had officially surpassed its target. Although moments of doubt arose, the unwavering spirit of the volunteers, the contributions from citizens, and the support of public and private institutions made the success possible.
“This achievement belongs to all of Paraguay,” said Vicente Scavone, President of the Board. Executive Director Víctor Ibarrola confirmed that the funds will guarantee 100% coverage for next year’s services, ensuring that children and families continue to receive free, high-quality rehabilitation.
For the third consecutive year, Teletón has met its goal. Proof that when Paraguay unites for love and solidarity, there are no limits to what it can accomplish. Thanks to every citizen, volunteer, and socially responsible company, hope continues to shine across the country, reaching 1,930 families and reaffirming that compassion remains Paraguay’s greatest strength.
