The B1 night bus line of the Red Búho (meaning Owl) Network, which links Asunción with San Lorenzo, will implement a route adjustment starting Saturday, 1 November 2025. This change aims to enhance connectivity with vital hubs in Paraguay’s capital, particularly the Asunción Bus Station (commonly referred to as the Terminal) where a significant volume of passenger traffic converges.
Under the new arrangement, services heading from Asunción to San Lorenzo will extend to the Terminal before proceeding along Eusebio Ayala Avenue, and resuming the standard path. The return journey from San Lorenzo to Asunción will remain unaltered.
Optimising night-time connectivity
This modification is designed to improve service coverage and bolster links across various night corridors, especially following the recent addition of new Owl lines such as the B3, which serves Asunción and Ñemby.
Paraguayan’s Vice-Ministry of Transport is driving the initiative to create a more efficient, accessible, and evenly distributed network, with a focus on passenger convenience. The B1 night service will maintain a 40-minute frequency, operating daily from 22:00 to 03:20.
