The Ñu Guasu Park was filled with excitement on 19 October 2025, as Paraguay officially broke the Guinness World Record for the largest serving of scrambled eggs. The event took place during the charity run We Run Together, We Win Together, organised by Asunción Runners and the United Against Cancer Foundation (FUNCA), with the support of Nutrihuevos, in celebration of World Egg Day.
The world record
At 07:30, the challenge began. Hundreds of volunteers cooked and served scrambled eggs under the supervision of Natalia Ramírez, official adjudicator of the Guinness World Records, from Colombia.
“The record consists of surpassing a minimum of 2,500 servings,” Ramírez stated. “This is an official attempt for the largest serving of scrambled eggs distributed within one hour.”
Throughout the morning, massive pans sizzled as volunteers served steaming portions of scrambled eggs to participants. Each plate was weighed and checked to ensure it surpassed 200 grams, following Guinness’s strict standards.
“I am here to supervise a correct process of food handling, the weighing of each individual portion, and the distribution process to all participants,” explained Ramírez.

The one-hour challenge concluded at 08:30, followed by an official verification process. Around 09:30, Ramírez returned to the stage with the result everyone had been waiting for: “Official number recorded: 2,806 servings. Today, Paraguay is officially amazing.”
The declaration was met with loud cheers and applause from participants, families, and volunteers who had gathered for the event.
A celebration of unity and health
Beyond breaking a world record, the event also promoted health, sport, and solidarity. Moreover, supporting FUNCA’s mission of cancer prevention and care. The Ministry of Tourism (SENATUR) declared the initiative of National Tourist Interest. As well as highlighting its value as an example of cooperation and the promotion of Paraguayan gastronomic tourism.
Under the cheerful slogan “A record made with eggs and effort”, the celebration captured the lively spirit of the day. The phrase, used as the official motto of the event, reflected both the central ingredient and the determination of all who took part.

The morning at Ñu Guasu was not just about numbers. Families, runners, and supporters enjoyed live music, recreational activities, and a festive atmosphere that celebrated unity and pride. The event was free and open to everyone, reflecting the collective energy that made the record possible.
By the end of the morning, Paraguay had achieved more than a Guinness title: it had shown the power of teamwork, perseverance, and joy. The sight of hundreds of volunteers serving eggs in unison became a symbol of what can be accomplished when a nation comes together with purpose and heart.
