Travel at night in Asunción, safely, on the Buho night bus

Búho Night Bus Is Immediately Popular With Those Who Travel At Night In Asunción

In just two weeks of operation, the “Búho night bus” has already taken over 3,000 people safely home during the late night and early morning in Asunción, becoming a safe and accessible alternative for those who need to travel at night in Asunción. Available from 10pm to 4am, the service connects strategic points in Asunción and San Lorenzo.

To evaluate its operation firsthand, Deputy Minister of Transportation Emiliano R. Fernández took a tour this weekend aboard the B1 line, interacting with passengers and supervising its operation. Users highlighted the usefulness and efficiency of this new service.

Elena Ehreke, a university student, learned about the Búho through social media and news articles. She uses it to travel from Columbia University, on Avenida España, to the Multiplaza Shopping Mall, in Eusebio Ayala. “I don’t have to wait long for the bus, and having police on the bus makes me feel safer,” she said.
