The Paraguayan Investment and Export Network (Rediex) has turned 20 years old, and the head of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC), Javier Giménez, highlighted the importance of the Network in promoting the country and opening new markets.
“In a world where walls are being built, Rediex builds bridges and brings Paraguayan products and opens doors to make this wonderful country, this hidden gem, more known,” he said.
He also thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for its support and joint work, highlighting the importance and dynamics of economic diplomacy. It should be noted that Rediex has five commercial attachés who work in embassies located in strategic regions of the world.
In this regard, he welcomed the holding of the second meeting with heads of diplomatic missions organised by Rediex. “I am pleased to see the ambassadors so participative, so open, so full of ideas, so humble in spirit, knowing so much, and giving us a lot of space so that we can also complement the incredible work they do in every corner of the world,” he said.
In turn, Rodrigo Maluff, vice-minister of Rediex, celebrated the 20th anniversary of the institution, which he described as the tool that acts as a “control tower” for foreign investments and Paraguayan exports.
He highlighted the collaboration between the public and private sectors, as well as the positive impact of the institution that has collaborated to significantly increase investments in two decades.
He also highlighted the role of the organisation in building the “Country Brand” and its ability to maintain a positive image of Paraguay on the international level.
This event, held on Friday afternoon in the Port of Asunción, brought together national authorities, members of the advisory body and representatives of the private sector.
Sectoral tables are “the essence of Rediex”
On the other hand, the minister invited the private sector to form the sectoral tables where the unions and federations meet, where the Ministry opens its doors to listen to the business sector.
“Finally, I want to tell everyone that our commitment remains intact. We are ready, prepared and eager to continue building what was built to increase exports and make Paraguay known,” he said.
