The History Of Oz
The History of Oz is based on “The Wizard of Oz.” Released in 1939, it is a beloved musical fantasy film based on L. Frank Baum’s novel. It follows Dorothy Gale, a young girl from Kansas, who is whisked away to the enchanting land of Oz by a tornado. Seeking to return home, she embarks on a journey to meet the mysterious Wizard of Oz. Along the way, she befriends the Scarecrow, who desires brains, the Tin Man, who longs for a heart, and the Cowardly Lion, in search of courage. Together, they confront the Wicked Witch and learn that self-belief and companionship are key to achieving their dreams.
Paraguayan-Style
History of Oz offers an engaging narrative that explores the origins of the magic, bringing new depth and imagination to the classic tale. Characters appear in vivid costumes, hinting at a visually striking performance filled with colour and creativity. A unique aspect of this production is the inclusion of musical numbers performed by a live orchestra. This element promises to enhance the overall atmosphere. It provides a rich and immersive sound experience that complements the magic portrayed on stage. History of Oz is organised by Spinto Producciones, a Paraguayan company well-known in the field.
