Start Your English Learning Journey At FPUNA In Paraguay With New In-Person Course

The Facultad Politécnica de la Universidad Nacional de Asunción (FPUNA) has announced a new opportunity for those looking to start their English learning journey. The faculty has opened pre-registration for its Basic Level 1 course, designed specifically for beginners with no prior knowledge of the language. Delivered entirely in person, the programme reflects a growing demand for structured, face-to-face language learning in Paraguay.

A practical introduction to English learning

The course will run for a total of 60 contact hours over three months, equivalent to 12 weeks of instruction. Classes are open to the university community and the general public. However, organisers will confirm the course only after enough participants have pre-registered.

The course will begin on Monday, 13 April, with two sessions per week, each lasting two and a half hours. While the exact schedule is yet to be finalised, it will be determined based on the availability selected by participants during the pre-registration process. The programme is expected to conclude on 2 July for morning groups and on 1 July 2026 for afternoon groups.

Accessible fees and modern learning space

All sessions will take place at the American Corner, located within the FPUNA Information and Culture Centre. This dedicated space is designed to support language learning through an engaging and interactive environment. Notably, the course does not include asynchronous components, ensuring a fully immersive classroom experience from start to finish.

In terms of costs, the general enrolment fee is set at ₲50,000 (approximately US$7.7), although the first ten applicants will benefit from a full waiver. FPUNA students, staff, and lecturers can enrol for ₲400,000 (approximately US$62) or opt for three instalments of ₲170,000 (approximately US$26). Meanwhile, members of the general public will pay ₲500,000 (approximately US$77) or three instalments of ₲200,000 (approximately US$31).

Pre-registrations are now open via the university’s official form, with payments due by 10 April. Those seeking further details can contact the Formación Continua Department directly via email at extracurricularesdfc@pol.una.py.
