And there is more!
The country shines in the Guinness World Records with this these 5 World Records held by Paraguay, achievements that reflect its rich culture and natural wonders. But there are more!
From Lorenzo Prieto’s 1965 record of riding a bicycle for 720 hours nonstop to the historic Saltos del Guairá waterfall (once the world’s most powerful before the Itaipu Dam), the country shares the title of the planet’s largest hydroelectric plant with Brazil. And there is the largest natural logo in Paraguay since late 2024, a 42-hectare eucalyptus plantation in Guairá that was shaped into the Tree Cycle emblem, visible only from the sky.
Additionally, Paraguayans have grilled their way into history with the biggest one-day open-air barbecue in 2008, and the longest meat skewer (250.60 meter) in 2023. All proving that Paraguayan passion for food, music, and tradition consistently sets world records.
