The 20th edition of the Paraguay International Tourism Fair (FITPAR) will take place from 10 to 12 October 2025. The event will be held at the Mariscal Convention Centre in Asunción, from 10:00 to 20:00. Organised with support from the National Secretariat of Tourism (Senatur) and Itaipú Binational, FITPAR 2025 is expected to be the Paraguay’s most important tourism gathering.
FITPAR 2025 will feature international exhibitors, national companies, and special areas dedicated to gastronomy, crafts, and culture. It will also provide opportunities for students and professionals to engage with leading tourism organisations. Over the past 19 editions, the event has become a reference in Latin America, attracting both experts and families seeking travel inspiration.
Among the 2025 highlights are the Business Roundtable, the 7th National Meeting of Tourism Students, and the Travel Agency Outlet with special offers. Visitors can also enjoy the sixth edition of the Cocktail Competition, both amateur and professional. Exciting prizes will be raffled, including trips to Miami, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, and Posadas.
Innovation, networking, and cultural exchange
The official FITPAR 2025 launch took place at Senatur’s Turista Róga hall, reaffirming the government’s commitment to tourism as a key driver of development. Representing Tourism Minister Angie Duarte, Rossana Fustagno, and Director Javier Ramírez highlighted the fair’s growing importance. Moreover, this year’s edition has been declared of National Tourist Interest, consolidating FITPAR as a major regional platform.
Leading up to FITPAR 2025, one of Paraguay’s most significant business events is being held: Business Summit 2025, organised by the Paraguayan Industrial and Hotel Association (AIHPY) takes place on 8 and 9 October at the Tryp Hotel in Asunción. This summit provides a platform for strategic partnerships and business opportunities, fostering collaboration across local and international businesses.
Looking back, and what to expect at FITPAR 2025?
Last year’s edition gathered 837 exhibitors from ten countries, showcasing over 300 brands and destinations. The fair welcomes an average of 7,500 visitors each year, boosting Paraguay’s image as a vibrant destination. In addition, the event generates strong media coverage, offering excellent visibility for exhibitors.
